Question:
i have a member server which i am trying to promote to a DC. I type dcdiag.exe and nothing happens apart from an Even ID error 100 (Faulting application dcpromo.exe, version 5.2.3790.3959, faulting module dcpromo.exe, version 5.2.3790.3959, fault address 0×0003b3e6.). DNS seems ok, IP address are correct and no other event warnings are visable
Solution:
The issue was with SP2 on R2 2003. After re-installing SP2 I was able to promote the server to a DC
